Boxing Tonight!

I just discovered this awesomeness.

I don’t know what I like better: the music, the animation, or the way they synced it all together!

Rocket Punch!

A friend of mine needs a Mazinger-Z tattoo, so I’m sketching a lot of Go Nagai’s famous robot these days.

Emperor Tomato Ketchup

This guy was supposed to be the manager of a Fist-A-Cuffs team that a couple artists and I were putting together. Through a combination of apathy, laziness, and forgetfulness we never got around to finishing our characters and entering them. Ah well…

If you couldn’t tell, he’s largely music inspired. The idea was that he doesn’t really talk so much as spout random lines from various songs I like.

Mr. Batman esq.

Obviously I’m a fan of Batman. Who isn’t really? I’m also a fan of Paul Pope, and I thought his Year 100 Batman story was really awesome. I guess I was channeling a bit of that when I drew this. I like how Pope’s Batman isn’t all huge and burly like Jim Lee’s and is instead more wiry.

More on the comic

This stick wielding girl is a main character in the comic I’m working on. I think we’re going with the name ‘Copper’ right now, but that can always change.
